Katahdin FCU Provides Meaningful Support to Millinocket

The team at Katahdin Federal Credit Union (FCU) understands the importance of giving back to their local community and has stepped in to help in a big way!

Over the last several weeks, the credit union has been busy awarding scholarships, making donations, and supporting the Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Here is a snapshot of what Katahdin FCU has been up to:

  • Awarded twenty $500 scholarships to deserving high school seniors. The credit union also recognized four seniors who will be serving our country in the military after graduation.
  • Donated $15,000 to the Millinocket Memorial Library Capital Campaign Fund.
  • Sponsored the “air cannon” at the Millinocket Regional Hospital’s golf tournament to benefit their oncology department project.
  • Donated $1,000 to Stearns High School to help replace the baseball dugout.
  • Held a drawing for four Red Sox tickets with proceeds benefiting the Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Katahdin FCU isn’t afraid to go the extra mile to exceed their members’ expectations and support the area they are proud to call home.
