Hire-A-Vet Campaign Fair Set for August 29


As part of the Maine Department of Labor’s new initiative, Maine’s Hire-A-Vet Campaign, the Department will be hosting a job fair on August 29 from 11 AM – 3 PM at the Augusta Civic Center. The Department’s goal is to help at least 100 employers recruit and hire at least 100 veterans and military family members over 100 days.

This no-cost hiring fair is open to veterans, military families, and the public.  Employers statewide are welcome to participate but space is limited. If your credit union is interested in meeting veterans and their families who can put their skills to work for you, contact Steven Roy, Hiring Fair Coordinator, at MaineHireAVet.DOL@maine.gov to reserve your spot.
