To help commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Five County CU wanted to do something special for their local first responders. The credit union created “First Responder Survival Kits” and delivered them to sheriff’s departments, police and fire stations, and ambulance service centers in 14 communities as a way to thank them for their service. Cities and towns visited include:

  • Auburn
  • Augusta
  • Bath
  • Brunswick
  • Lewiston
  • Lisbon
  • Portland
  • Scarborough
  • Skowhegan
  • Topsham
  • Rockland
  • Waterville
  • Windham
  • Yarmouth

“These kits are a special way our credit union can give back to some of the exceptional men and women that keep our communities safe and come to our rescue in times of need,” said Kelly Fairfield, Marketing Director at Five County CU. “We were delighted to do this for them, especially on September 11th.”

The credit union team stops in Yarmouth to make a special delivery.
