The League’s Emerging Leaders group, formerly known as the Young Professionals Network, has an exclusive opportunity to experience the Maine Mariners at Portland’s Cross Insurance Arena like never before—and we hope to see you there! The Mariners are celebrating College Night on Friday, November 7, and Maine’s credit unions have been given the chance to connect and engage not just with one another, but also with those who will help shape Maine’s future.
Starting at 3:30 pm, Emerging Leaders will enjoy a behind-the-scenes arena tour—including an inside look at running a professional hockey team. Additionally, Leaders will interact with and learn from Mariners Owner Dexter Paine and CEO Adam Goldberg through a Q & A session, covering topics like sports careers, leadership, and the business of hockey. The group will be celebrated with a special shoutout on the big screen and a group photo on the ice. The game will begin at 7:15 pm.
Not only will attendees enjoy an evening of camaraderie and sportsmanship, but they will also have a table in the concourse as hockey fans fill the arena—providing the perfect opportunity to network with students and other individuals throughout the evening to share the credit union difference. Emerging Leaders are uniquely positioned to talk about why Maine credit unions are exceptional places to work, and we hope you’ll take this chance to encourage other Mainers to become part of our credit union community.
