Bangor Chapter Builds Momentum for CU4Kids with Donation and May 5K

The Bangor Chapter of Credit Unions present a check to support their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

The Bangor Chapter of Credit Unions continues to bring the community together in meaningful ways, combining philanthropy, connection, and a shared commitment to improving lives.

On April 22, the Chapter demonstrated that commitment in action by presenting a $10,000 donation to support Northern Light Health’s Children’s Miracle Network. This contribution reflects the collective efforts of local credit unions and will help make a meaningful difference for children and families across the region.

Building on that momentum, the Chapter is looking ahead to its next opportunity to give back. The upcoming CU4Kids Colors for a Cause 5K will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 in Brewer. This vibrant, family-friendly event will kick off at Bangor FCU on Dirigo Drive, with registration opening at 8:30 am. Participants can park at Brewer High School or Hannaford for easy access to the race start.

More than just a run or walk, Colors for a Cause is a celebration of impact. Participants are encouraged to wear white and prepare to be covered in color along the course, all while supporting Credit Unions for Kids and the vital work they do for children and families. The event will also feature a Miracle Family, offering a powerful reminder of the lives touched through these efforts.

Whether running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, this event is an opportunity to come together for a cause that resonates deeply across the credit union movement. Gather your colleagues, friends, and family, and join the Bangor Chapter in making a difference one colorful step at a time.
