America’s Credit Union Museum
America’s Credit Union Museum in Manchester, NH, is opening its doors for a special Open House on Wednesday, September 24, from 1:00–4:00 pm. The event will feature the debut of Woven in History: Unsung Heroes, a new installation made possible through the Labor of Love Day of Giving initiative.
This exhibit sheds light on the often-overlooked individuals whose steady commitment, quiet leadership, and everyday perseverance played a vital role in shaping the credit union movement. By bringing forward their stories, the Museum not only preserves history but also reminds us that progress is often built on the shoulders of people working humbly behind the scenes.
The Unsung Heroes installation also offers credit unions across the country a chance to add their voices. Organizations are encouraged to nominate their own Unsung Heroes, ensuring that the legacies of those who have made lasting contributions in small but powerful ways are celebrated for generations to come. More details on nominations can be found at www.acumuseum.org/unsungheroes.
This Open House is more than a community event—it is an invitation to honor the values of service, cooperation, and resilience that continue to inspire the credit union movement today. Join the celebration and register at www.acumuseum.org/openhouse.
