Winning Walletshare: How to Transform Elusive Pockets of Membership into Multi-Product Members
In today’s financial landscape, loyalty is no longer the default. Members—especially Gen Z and Millennials—are three times more willing to switch financial institutions if their needs aren’t met. For credit unions, where competition is high and in-person engagement is declining, the challenge is clear: how do we turn disengaged members into lifelong advocates? In this session, Harrison Hochman will unveil a strategic framework to help credit unions reimagine their member relationships. Drawing on conversations with hundreds of institutions nationwide and unique insight from Ohio credit unions, this session will provide a practical roadmap for transforming at-risk and one-product members into engaged, multi-relationship champions. Attendees will learn how to:
1. Reground in proven frameworks that have historically created engaged members.
2. Translate past best practices into a digital-first environment where in-branch touchpoints are scarce.
3. Activate actionable strategies that leverage timing, targeting, and personalization to build trust at scale.
4. Replicate branch “magic moments” digitally through real-time data and automated actioning.
With case studies, data-driven insights, and step-by-step playbooks, participants will walk away with a clear plan to boost engagement, deepen loyalty, and future-proof their membership base.
