Featuring the League and our community partners!
While CU Kind Day isn’t taking place until October 12, our League invites you to join us for the official CU Kind Day kick-off! On July 21, we will host a special Town Hall where our community partners will highlight the needs they are facing and opportunities to support their efforts on and/or around CU Kind Day. Attendees will hear from:
- Good Shepherd Food Bank
- Special Olympics Maine
- MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital
- Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center
- United Way of Southern Maine
CU Kind Day is about spreading kindness, increasing credit union awareness, and impacting the communities our credit unions serve. It is also an exciting demonstration of the People Helping People philosophy and showcases the cooperative nature of our movement.
Credit unions engage in outreach work year-round, but the magic behind a League-organized day of kindness is the increased visibility and impact made from our collective efforts. Since our credit unions are already committed to prioritizing charitable work, asking them to participate in a specific “Kindness” Day should not be disruptive to operations or budget.
Ready to join in on the fun? If so, please join our Town Hall to hear about opportunities and resources to fuel your success as you begin to plan your engagement for October! Learn more and sign your credit union up to participate however you choose on our website.
Lauren Simonds has shared a Teams meeting invitation for this Town Hall. If you have not been receiving meeting invitations for Town Halls and would like to add your name to the distribution list and/or attend this meeting, please email Simonds at lsimonds@mainecul.org.
