Nobody Shrinks into Greatness: Strategizing for Long Term Growth
There are three things you can do: Grow, Stabilize or Retrench. Times have dictated that our attention be in the present.  We are stabilizing for sure. We are managing today’s earnings, potential losses, staff & member safety issues rather than fostering future growth. Let’s not become complacent about our talent, your innovation, use of data, future trends. Advantage evaporates in a heartbeat and competition is unpredictable. Your goal is not stability in the long term; the goal is continuous change. Patrick will lead a thought-provoking session about key considerations concerning growth curve demands and how leadership can strategize for the future. Getting back to growing the business should be our goal.

Presenter: Patrick Adams has devoted 33 years to the credit union movement and has worked for St. Louis Community Credit Union for the past 24 years. He was appointed President in January 2008. Patrick has never met a paradigm he wouldn’t like to change.  He helps audiences question the “because-we’ve-always-done-it-that-way” mentality and develop real-world solutions.  He emphasizes the importance of service and quality in serving members through all delivery systems, and challenges audiences to accept and adapt to change…no matter how painful the process.

3:00 – 4:15 pm
Level 10 Leadership in Your Credit Union
Have you ever noticed that the best leaders bring a level of energy, enthusiasm and attitude to nearly everything they do? Great leadership, as it turns out, is more about self-leadership than anything. During this highly interactive presentation, Adam shares the 4 not-so-obvious things you can do daily to make sure you are not only living at a Level 10, but inspiring others to do exactly the same. You’ll walk away with concrete tactics and strategies that create massive impact to your teams and your credit union.

Presenter: Adam Carroll is a writer, speaker, and internationally recognized financial literacy expert. He is the author of Winning The Money Game, 30 Days to $1K, and Mastery of Money for Students. He is a two-time TED Talk speaker and creator of the Broke, Busted & Disgusted documentary which has been played in hundreds of high schools and colleges. He is the founder and curator of www.MasteryofMoney.com and a contributor to the Huffington Post.
