Training Development Specialist


Maine Savings FCU is hiring a Training Development Specialist at its Hampden location.

Role Overview

The Training Development Specialist will support and collaborate with the Professional Development Officer to provide all levels of training required for Maine Savings staff: tellers, teller supervisory staff, member service representatives, and other roles as required. In addition, the Specialist will lead and/or contribute to the research, development and revision of all training materials, both existing and requested. Regular engagement with departmental subject matter experts is required.

Effective written and oral communication skills are critical to this role. Must be self-directed and willing to expand personal and professional development to grow in the role. Able to operate an adding machine, keyboard, and computer as well as various computer applications including Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Microsoft Publisher and Outlook.

Experience/Education

At least two years of similar or related experience preferred. A two-year college degree, or job-specific skills acquired through experience and on-the-job training.

Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal and professional contact with members and all levels of employees and leadership.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds; position requires much sitting and standing.

Work Environment

Professional, modern, air-conditioned office environment. The Training Development Specialist will also be expected to travel between the Hampden administrative offices and Maine Savings branches on an as-needed basis.
