Systems Application Analyst

Maine Savings FCU is hiring a Systems Application Analyst at its Hampden location.

This is a salary position, reporting directly to the AVP, System Applications. This position will be able to work a hybrid remote work schedule.

Job Summary: This position will analyze, support, test, implement, and maintain key business systems and hardware solutions for each facet of the organization. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, configuration, testing, documentation, and assistance of system applications from the back end platforms to the user interface.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Supports key business systems through the Maine Savings Help Desk and other means.
  • Ensures core systems work as intended – working with vendors as necessary.
  • Works collaboratively and communicates with other information technology group members and internal users to ensure optimal application functionality.
  • Provides input in preparation of projects while monitoring own task schedule and meeting deadlines.
  • Document all application configurations, installation procedures, etc.
  • Adheres to Change Management Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides security to all aspects of role.
  • Documents business requirements, application functional specifications, and maps business requirements to technical specifications to meet all requirements.
  • Coordinates/conducts software testing.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements.
  • Works closely with other department teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of project solutions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make both business process and system recommendations based on business problems and organizational requirements.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of two years of experience as an application analyst or is able to demonstrate the required skill-set.
  • Ability to maintain an open mind and accept guidance from team members and team leaders.
  • Proficiency with standard PC programs and functions
  • Knowledge of the Jack Henry/Symitar suite of applications such as Episys, Synergy, etc. preferred, but not required.
  • Possesses excellent writing and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and communicate concepts to technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to coordinate and manage complex projects.
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with and demonstrates competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrates the ability to research issues and functionality using the tools available.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.


  • 4 years college in CS field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of application support/analyst experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Conference and training opportunities with some travel required.
