Mortgage Loan Officer:

Proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and sells credit union mortgage products to meet established goals. Responsible for originating, processing, underwriting, and approving loans within level of lending authority, with an emphasis on originating mortgage loans.

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, team-oriented, positive thinker with a desire to provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consumer and mortgage lending experience (2+ years) in a credit union or related financial institution.
  • Thorough understanding of open-end and closed-end consumer lending, secured and unsecured requirements, credit life and disability insurance, vehicle title and UCC requirements, credit cards, student loans, and lines of credit.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of consumer and mortgage lending regulations including SAFE Act, ECOA, FCRA, TRID (TILA REPA Integrated Disclosure), QM, & ATR.
  • Demonstrated cross-sales skills and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers, online programs and lending software.
  • Highly motivated, sales-oriented, positive thinker.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
