Atlantic FCU is hiring a Mortgage Loan Administrator at its South Portland location.
Join our dynamic Mortgage Lending team as a Mortgage Loan Administrator, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and seamless journey for our borrowers. Your main responsibility will be managing the loan application pipeline, making sure everything is in perfect order before it reaches Underwriting.
As the backbone of our loan process, you’ll collaborate directly with loan officers and borrowers to gather necessary documentation and expertly prepare loan files for submission. You’ll be the key to ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets our high organizational standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll also lend your expertise to provide top-notch service both internally and externally. And when the Mortgage Processing team needs a helping hand, you’ll be ready to jump in and assist with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Monitors incoming loan applications for all real estate products and assists with assigning requests to the appropriate Mortgage Loan Officer. May act as an initial contact to borrower upon receipt of application to gather more information for assignment. Communicates with borrowers to request necessary documentation set forth by assigned MLO. Reviews all loan package documentation for discrepancies and omissions to ensure accuracy and prepares loan file for submission. Tracks regulatory timelines and completes required borrower notices in assistance with loan officers to maintain compliance standards. Provides initial contact to real estate agents upon receipt of sales contracts and sends out application letters within contractual timeframe.
- Assists with incoming real estate inquiries through phone and digital channels by handling basic inquiries regarding loan processes, products, general fees, interest rates as well as warm handoffs to a Mortgage Loan Officer as necessary. Monitors CRM for basic inquiries to ensure member service standards.
- Embraces continual learning and development by seeking out opportunities for growth. Attends regular development sessions as prescribed and ensures adoption and application of skills-based learning.

- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- NMLS registration.
