Our Member Service Representative II plays a vital role in our team, bringing a deep knowledge and understanding of Atlantic’s deposit products and services. This expertise allows them to guide members seamlessly through their transactions with positivity and professionalism. Beyond just transactions, they actively seek opportunities to build stronger relationships with our members, enhancing their financial well-being by educating and informing them about the full range of our deposit products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles all teller-related transactions both in-branch and virtually, ensuring an outstanding member experience while following company and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes accepting deposits, cashing checks in line with our guidelines, issuing cashier’s checks and money orders, and redeeming savings bonds. Additionally, possess a thorough understanding of account types and documentation requirements, allowing them to offer valuable education to members regarding account openings.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in adding clubs and certificates of deposit, death notifications, fraud disputes, adding a joint and/or beneficiary (member & specialty accounts IRA/HSA), POA agent certification of facts, name changes and processing domestic and foreign wires.
  • Completes all daily tasks while maintaining a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records and member information.
  • Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts accurately and utilizes appropriate resources for assistance as required.
  • Verifies all members in adherence with policy and appropriately reports potential fraudulent or suspicious activity.
  • Offers education on accounts and documentation requirements for account openings to members. Educates and refers members to various products and services.
  • Assist in opening and closing the branch, transaction overviews., maintaining a high accuracy with all file maintenance and correction rate. Work with leadership to review and correct any audit findings while adhering to all federal and state compliance regulations. Show and maintain proficiency with all accounts and applicable transaction types

Requirements:

It is our preference that you have one year to three years of customer service experience, prior experience in credit unions or other financial institutions is preferred and at least a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule and the ability to travel to other branch locations if needed.
