Eastmill FCU is hiring a full-time Loan Officer at its East Millinocket branch.

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to process consumer, real estate, and member business loans both in person and online. Responsibilities:
- Loan Processing: Process consumer, real estate, and member business loans received through various channels, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Underwriting: Underwrite loan applications within approved loan limits, assessing creditworthiness, and risk factors.
- Loan Booking and Maintenance: Book loans to core systems and maintain loan files as necessary to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Customer Service: Answer member inquiries regarding loan products and services, providing excellent member service at all times.
- Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell other credit union products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
- Lien Filings: Ensure lien filings are perfected accurately and in a timely manner to protect the interests of the credit union.
- IRA Program Backup: Serve as a backup for the IRA program, assisting members with account inquiries and transactions.
- Loan Payoff Requests: Assist with processing loan payoff requests, coordinating with relevant departments to facilitate timely transactions.
- Credit Report Disputes: Assist with processing credit report disputes, working with members, and credit reporting agencies to resolve issues.
- Support Loan Servicing Specialist: Provide assistance to the loan servicing specialist as needed to ensure the smooth operation of loan servicing functions.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the credit union.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in loan processing or related field preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan processing software.
