Saco Valley CU is hiring a Human Resources Generalist at its Saco location.

Description

Saco Valley CU, a 2024 Best Place to Work in ME, seeks to add a HR Generalist to the team. While a large portion of this role is being responsible for payroll and benefits, this role will also be responsible for recruiting & onboarding, employee relations & performance, HR compliance and training. This is a full-time, hourly position. Starting pay is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
  • Manage recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, background and reference checks, collaborate with department heads in making hiring decisions, prepare employment offers, may make offers and conducts exit interviews.
  • Manage credit union’s compensation; prepare time and attendance records, input payroll and review output. Maintain benefit hour records for each employee.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding. Assist in the management of existing employee performance, performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision and group life insurance, STD/LTD, retirement plans, and other benefits. Consult with and advise employees on their eligibility for these and other related benefits. Maintain benefits records and documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage. Maintain and distribute plan documents and employee communications relating to benefits. Recommend changes or additions to the program to reflect employee and organization’s needs. Assure compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit programs and prepare and file required legal reports.
  • Ensure the Credit Union complies with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Analyze trends in HR data and provide recommendations of improvement to Leadership Team.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
