ACH Coordinator


Town & Country FCU is hiring an ACH Coordinator at its Scarborough location.

Function and Responsibilities  

The ACH Coordinator manages the daily posting of ACH files, researches and resolves all ACH and share draft exception items, handles member ACH disputes and processes ACH returns.  They will initiate Indirect Lending dealer fundings, approve and send the ACH online account opening files, process and approve mobile check deposits; all while ensuring the Credit Union is NACHA compliant.  Handling outgoing wires by taking requests and inquires from members and supporting branch staff is a regular duty as well.  A moderate amount of member contact is necessary regarding answering member ACH and share draft related questions, processing disputes, researching issues, and monitoring for fraud.  This role is heavily involved in month end processing.  The ACH Coordinator is also responsible for ordering all credit union office supplies.

Education & Experience   

  • High school education or GED
  • One year to three years of similar or related experience

Interpersonal Skills 

Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Attention to detail and ability to manage time well are required to meet multiple processing deadlines daily. Good listening, telephone skills, and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

This department is located at our Operations Center in Scarborough, Maine.
